To support our growth, SBE is looking for a highly qualified BIM Modeler with expertise in REVIT. Together with the BIM and Engineering teams in our HQ in Belgium, you will work on large infrastructure projects. As a result, you will contribute to design and construct the roads and facilities of tomorrow.

As our Revit BIM Modeler, you will develop and manage (sub-)models and drawings in our projects, with a special focus on the design of concrete linear infrastructures such as tunnels and bridges, as well as other infrastructures such as dams, quay walls, locks, docks, etc.

This role requires expertise in several different areas, including:

• Modelling in Revit of complex concrete structures, both in linear and non-linear projects.
• At least one of the following technology stacks: Revit + Dynamo, Rhino + Grasshopper. Knowledge of more than one platform will be considered as a plus.
• Creator and author of definitions using out of the box nodes tools within the defined platforms.
• Parametric modelling, creation and development of smart objects (i.e.: Revit Families using adaptive components), with customizable functionality and custom-built parameters for automation.

Responsibilities:

• You help to develop concepts in preliminary, concept and final designs.
• You evaluate and construct base models from all existing 2D- and 3D-data.
• You develop a 3D model (or a part of it).
• You create 2D layouts and plans with respect to the demands of the client.
• You extract qualitative models for 3D visualizations, tables and/or other documents from the 3D model (e.g.: volumes, measurement lists).
• You work as a member of an experienced team of modelers and engineers, involved in highly challenging and technical projects, facing the new requirements of the industry.
• You develop scripts in Dynamo or Grasshopper or are able to use them to model linear infrastructures in Revit.
• You help develop modeling standards, scripts and procedures.
• You support the development of computational engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, Technical Draftsmanship or similar.
• You have a master in BIM Modelling of Concrete Structures in linear projects with Revit or you have gained similar skills through experience.
• Familiarity with Civil Engineering design processes and workflows.
• Professional experience: you have at least 5-8 years of relevant experience within infrastructure projects (or more).
• Experience in BIM methodology, preparing drawings in 2D-3D for every project phase.
• Required software knowledge: Autodesk Revit, BIM 360 and related Building Information Modeling software.
