We are seeking a highly creative and strategic Creative Director to lead our design and copy teams within the Content Studio in Barcelona. This role is pivotal in shaping the visual and narrative identity of Nespresso across all content touchpoints, ensuring premium execution aligned with brand guidelines and driving innovation through cutting-edge technologies. The Creative Director will champion a digital-first mindset, optimizing content for engagement across platforms, and collaborating closely with Operations and Planning leads to deliver high-performing, market-adoptable content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate a clear creative vision for the Nespresso brand across all content initiatives.
  • Inspire and motivate the design and copy teams to produce exceptional, innovative, and brand-aligned work.
  • Provide strategic creative direction and guidance on all projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand strategy.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content creation and digital marketing.

Brand Guardianship:

  • Uphold brand integrity and visual identity across all content touchpoints, ensuring premium execution aligned with Nespresso guidelines.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Nespresso brand values, target audiences, and competitive landscape.
  • Ensure consistency in tone of voice, visual style, and messaging across all content formats.

Digital-First Optimization:

  • Champion a digital-first mindset, optimizing content for engagement across platforms (website, social media, email, digital advertising, etc.).
  • Understand the nuances of different digital channels and tailor content accordingly.
  • Leverage data and analytics to inform creative decisions and optimize content performance.

Team Management & Development:

  • Lead and mentor design and copy teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to team members, helping them to develop their skills and reach their full potential.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new team members as needed.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.

Innovation & Technology:

  • Drive innovation through the exploration and implementation of new technologies, including AI, virtual production, and modular design.
  • Experiment with new content formats and platforms to reach new audiences and enhance engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to streamline content creation processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations and Planning leads to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-performing, market-adoptable content.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure alignment on content strategy and execution.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Present creative concepts and strategies to senior management and external partners.

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within an agency or in-house content studio.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies that drive business results.
  • Design for Content Studio with a Digital Art mindset: Deep understanding of digital design principles, including UX/UI, responsive design, and accessibility. Experience with creating visually compelling content for various digital platforms.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of creatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and other relevant design software.
  • Experience with AI-powered content creation tools and virtual production techniques is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing metrics and analytics.
  • c1 English or native speaker. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
