Role mission :

The Magento Backend Tech Lead is responsible for leading the implementation of Magento projects, ensuring that they meet business objectives while maintaining high coding standards and best practices. You will collaborate with stakeholders, and provide technical direction to deliver robust, secure, and high-performing solutions.

You will be responsible for designing and optimizing Magento modules, APIs, and third-party integrations, ensuring seamless functionality across the platform. Your expertise will be key in maintaining code quality, improving site performance, and resolving complex technical challenges.

Additionally, you will act as a mentor and guide to the development team, reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and adherence to Magento development best practices. Your leadership will help streamline workflows, enhance automation, and drive efficiency in our development processes.

Your role will be responsible for :

• Define technical project requirements and draft comprehensive technical documentation.
• Provide accurate time and resource estimations for technical tasks.
• Architect, develop and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions based on Magento platform.
• Lead and oversee the technical execution of frontend aspects in eCommerce projects.
• Ensure project implementation quality via meticulous code reviews, enforcing best practices, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Ensure seamless deployments across development, staging, and production environments.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to decipher client needs and translate them into technical tasks.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance innovation and efficiency in our solutions.
• Engage in client meetings, offering high-level technical insights to non-technical stakeholders for effective communication.
• Contribute to the development of complex and high-level implementations

What is important for the role :

• 4-5 years of “Magento 2” development experience.
• 1-2 years in Tech Lead position, demonstrating successful leadership of backend teams, offering technical direction and mentorship.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Magento custom module development, API integrations, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of OOP, MVC, DDD and Design Patterns.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Preferable experience using task and requirement tracking tools like Jira.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions within project timelines.
• Deep knowledge on using GIT and control version systems
• Ability to simplify complex code for easy comprehension.
• Capability to estimate and define work for backend developers.

Nice to have :

• Knowledge of Docker
• Familiarity with Jenkins for continuous integration / deployment and test automation
• Familiarity with profiling tools, such as Blackfire or New Relic
