Cobol Tech Analyst

Our goal is to strengthen the brand in Spain. We are looking for you to work as Cobol Tech Analyst!

What do you need to fulfill this job?

• Develop and maintain applications in the MVS Cobol / Cics / DB2 environment as well as understand and perform technical designs on microservices / APIs integrated with the mainframe.
• Carry out technical designs and contribute to the design, definition and development of new technical solutions.
• Deliver across the entire application lifecycle: concept, design, development, deployment, testing and support.
• Document developments according to standards, both with functional and architectural documents, as well as with comments on the code itself.
• Participate in the testing phase: develop and test each component ensuring its correct integration.
• Collaborate on projects based on Agile methodologies.
• Incident resolution.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, telecommunications, IT or similar.
• Extensive experience in analysis and programming in Cobol / Cics / DB2 in MVS environment.
• Knowledge of JCL language.
• Experience in the development of technological solutions in mainframe environments. Ability to understand key aspects of technology and infrastructure platforms and generate ideas to create efficient solutions.
• Demonstrable experience as an analyst and developer.
• Solid knowledge in software engineering, design patterns and software architecture.
• Experience in analyzing existing solutions from HLAs or code reviews.
• Experience in technical documentation of applications, architecture or component diagrams, flows, use cases, etc.
• DevOps-oriented mind-set.
• Experience with testing / QA tools.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand business processes.
• Ability to work in a team in multidisciplinary groups.
• Ability to communicate within the team as well as to multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to plan tasks, identify risks, and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodology of application development.
• Minimum B2 spoken and written English.
