Co-Founder for an agrifood startup

At EIT Food TeamUp, our mission is to connect brilliant business co-founders with tech co-founders to build successful agrifood start-ups. We believe that strong teams are crucial to commercializing promising agrifood solutions and transforming our food system. Through our programme, we provide essential tools and support, including expert guidance, world-class training, mentorship, networking, and funding. We aim to nurture teams and create strong co-founder relationships with aligned purpose and values.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Co-Founder at an agrifood startup within EIT Food Venture Building. The Co-Founder will be involved in day-to-day tasks such as developing business strategies, identifying market opportunities, managing operations, leading sales and marketing efforts, and collaborating with the tech co-founder. The role also includes engaging with stakeholders, securing funding, and driving the startup's growth.

• You are a business professional or startup entrepreneur who gets things done and with the skills to lead an early-stage startup, lead a diverse team and take forward a go-to-market strategy.
• Building a business model, raising investment, establishing the basis of a startup is what gets you going. You have what it takes to get a business off the ground.
• You have startup / business development experience or relevant agri-food business experience and want to apply your skills to commercialise an impactful agrifood solution
• You are knowledgeable about innovation and technology in the agrifood sector.
• You are a team-player looking to partner up with a brilliant technologist and become a co-founder of an innovative agrifood startup.
• You have the energy and drive to create positive impact in one of EIT Food’s Missions (Healthier Lives Through Food, Net Zero Food System, Reducing Risk for a Fair and Resilient Food System).

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills and Research skills
• Experience in Sales and Marketing
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
• Having founded a previous startup is a big asset.
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Experience in the agrifood sector is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agrifood, or related field
