Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Incubator Team (100% remote-friendly within Spain)

You might have heard about us, but with a different name: Doctoralia. It all started 10 years ago when we asked ourselves: is anyone in healthcare thinking about patients? We jumped in and empowered patients by giving them access to leave and read reviews about their visit. We then provided doctors with the technology to manage bookings easily and save time, so they could devote themselves to what they always wanted: treating patients. And today is the day in which we ask you: wanna join us in the next step of making the healthcare experience more human?

Who are we looking for

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full-Stack Engineer (focused on FrontEnd more) with an entrepreneurial mindset to join Docplanner's Incubator team. This role offers the chance to drive innovation in healthcare technology through experimentation, rapid prototyping, and solving company challenges by driving growth through new initiatives, leveraging AI (when makes sense) and data-driven insights to create impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with the business team, including VPs and Directors.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient full-stack applications using vue.js (and vanilla JS) on frontend development and PHP (Laravel / Symfony) for the backend.
  • Experiment with AI and emerging technologies to prototype innovative solutions, integrating them into products to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, to rapidly validate hypotheses and deliver MVPs in fast-paced, iterative cycles.
  • Contribute to greenfield projects by architecting solutions from the ground up, ensuring clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform development decisions, continuously improving product performance based on user feedback and analytics.
  • Embrace a fail-fast, learn-fast mentality, iterating quickly on prototypes and learning from both successes and failures to refine products.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed, ensuring seamless communication between systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years working on web applications, with a strong focus on full-stack development.
  • Backend Proficiency: Strong knowledge of backend development using PHP (we are using both Laravel & Symfony). Experience with .NET is a plus!
  • APIs & Integrations: Experience with working with and implementing APIs, SDKs, and web services. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Tooling: Experience with tools such as GIT, SASS, Yarn, Webpack, and NPM.
  • Database Management: Proficient in working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Agile Environment: Comfortable working in Agile teams, with a strong understanding of Agile practices.
  • Communication: Fluent in English (B2 level or higher), with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You love to learn new things and be close to the business.
  • High level of ownership and accountability.
  • DevOps & Containerization: Experience working in a DevOps culture, with knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Scalable Systems: Familiarity with designing scalable distributed cloud systems.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Experience with TDD, DDD, and extreme programming practices.
  • Business Acumen: An interest in the business aspects of projects and a desire to understand user needs deeply.
