PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY: GROUP II. Graduate (Diploma, Technical Engineer or equivalent).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: Degree in Civil Engineering. In the event of not possessing the required academic qualification, candidates with training and experience in accordance with the tasks to be carried out and the merits to be assessed may be admitted.

WEEKLY DEDICATION: Part-time 30 h / week, Monday to Friday from 10-14 and 17-19h.

GROSS ANNUAL REMUNERATION: The employee shall receive a gross annual salary of 21374.88 euros.

PROJECT TITLE: ‘Sustainable REparticipation of TERmohydrogeology’.

DURATION: The contract to be concluded will be for a fixed term, 3 months from the formalisation of the contract, extendable depending on budget availability, and may not exceed the end date of the project.

TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT:

  • Analyse the data collected through the web application and identify the main sources of uncertainty in measurement and estimation.
  • Build a numerical model that represents the geothermal system and incorporates the identified sources of uncertainty.
  • Compare the results of the numerical model with experimental data to validate its accuracy and reliability.
  • Adjust and calibrate the model as necessary.
  • Use and test the numerical model to quantify the uncertainty associated with the data obtained through the web application.
  • Analytically validate the plume drawn in the web application, collaborating in its graphical representation with the programmer.
  • Develop methodologies and tools to use uncertainty information to improve decision making in design and installation, such as design optimisation, risk assessment and mitigation strategy planning.
  • Improve the accuracy of decision making for the design and installation of sustainable geothermal systems.
  • Develop teaching and learning materials for dissemination of results.

Specific Requirements:

Academic background (40%):

Specific training (30%): Training courses and / or subjects of official university degrees related to Renewable Energies, Geothermal Energy, Numerical Modelling of Geothermal Systems, Teaching and Pedagogy.

Professional experience (10%): In management and drafting of civil projects.
