Chief Flight Instructor

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Flight Instructor for Ab Initio to lead our training operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

We promise a highly challenging field and wide scope of responsibilities, which will initially cover:

• Ensure full compliance with EASA or applicable regulatory standards and internal policies governing all aspects of flight training, including training program development, instructor qualification, student progression, flight operations, and safety management systems.
• Take an active part in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes of flight instructors to build a high-performing and cohesive training team.
• Provide ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities to instructors, fostering career growth and skill enhancement.
• Identify training needs within the team and implement initiatives to support continuous improvement.
• Cultivate a collaborative and supportive environment to maintain high team morale and engagement.
• Develop and update training programs, syllabi, and manuals.
• Conduct regular quality checks and audits of training activities.
• Collaborate with the ATO’s management team to align training objectives with organizational goals.
• Represent the ATO in regulatory, industry, and client meetings as required.
• Set and achieve short-term and long-term goals in accordance with the company’s strategic goals.
• Follow the instructions of the HT related to the organization of training program development.
• Submit proposals to the HT or CFI related to the effectiveness of training and improvement of training programs.
• Perform duties as a supervising instructor while conducting training with students.
• Decide on additional training in case the student has not reached the required level of knowledge or skills.
• Perform other temporary tasks assigned by the HT or CFI as related to the ATO’s goals.
• Perform duties as a FI, CRI, IRI.

• Has no lower than CPL (A) license with the valid highest associated ratings;
• Holds an instructor certificate with the privilege to instruct for at least one phase of the AB Initio training;
• Has no lower than 2 years’ experience in flight instruction training;
• Has 1000 hours of flight time as a crew commander, and at least 500 hours of flight time at the position of instructor related to the flight training courses, from which 200 hours may be related to instrument flight training.
• Has a valid class 1 medical certificate.
• Has no lower than 5 ICAO English level.
• Has excellent skills in a Microsoft Office 365 environment or has basic conceptual computer literacy.
• Has deep knowledge of ATO operations and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Has strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Is committed to upholding safety and training quality standards.
• Has experience in curriculum development and operational management.
• Has proven ability to lead and inspire a team in a dynamic environment.
