Amazon Consumables Private Brands is looking for a high-performing, motivated Business Intelligence Engineer to support our business in developing new dashboards and internal-facing data products. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to deliver results using core AWS products including Redshift, Quicksight, S3, Sagemaker, EC2, Lambda, and Glue. If you're a problem solver with the ability to dive deep into our huge data warehouse and produce scalable solutions, then this role is for you!

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and data models to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
  2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple teams to understand business requirements and design and implement end-to-end solutions that meet their needs.
  3. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
  4. Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
  5. Monitor data quality and ensure that data is accurate and up-to-date.
  6. Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data warehouses and ETL pipelines to ensure that queries run efficiently.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in business intelligence and data analytics.

A Day in the Life:

We aim to work 70% of the time on Roadmap projects while the other 30% is dedicated to maintenance tasks and solving issues we could have in some of our data pipelines or data products. Those data products can vary from QuickSight Dashboards to Web Applications or simple Excel Reports. As BIE, you'll support EU CPB specific needs and work on WW APB projects for Deals and Supply Chain. You will collaborate very frequently with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, analyze them, design a solution, implement it, and validate it with them, documenting all your work properly.

About the Team:

The vision of CPB is to be the intuitive choice of daily essentials at unrivalled value that delights customers and keeps them coming back for more. This team supports that by designing/building robust BI solutions that provide insights from complex datasets. We work with Big Data technologies to help understand "what happened" (reports, dashboards), "why did it happen" (bridges, deep-dives), "what will happen next" (forecasting), and "what is the next best move" (recommendations, optimization). We strive to be the reference BI team in Private Brands for both business and BI teams for what we do and how we do it.

- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
