Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Constantly research, seek out and follow up on new business leads
Take ownership for the implementation and measurement of client acquisition plans
Deliver individual and team revenue targets by client, location, and channel
Provide accurate reporting on all key metrics
Build a strong, professional reputation across all relevant industries/forums
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records in Salesforce
Keep up-to-date profiles for each potential account
Regularly review performance with the Vice President of Business Development
Actively pursue new unassigned direct client accounts and evaluate new business opportunities
Communicate regularly with the Account Management team to convert new leads into frequently trading customers
Attend and represent the company at all relevant client & property networking opportunities
Compile formal and informal RFPs, either independently, or as part of the Bid Team, depending on the opportunity size
Ensure efficient use of time within Business Development team
Responsible for maintaining Business Development materials and trackers
Work closely with the Marketing team in providing feedback on industry trends and developments so that we can continually develop and communicate SilverDoor’s USPs
Develop a deep awareness of key competitor activity to ensure SilverDoor maintains a competitive edge
Ensure that we always have an ethical and consultative approach to business development
Follow agreed procedures for transitioning clients to the Account Management team
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience with a proven track record of success in new business development
Demonstrated expertise in B2B business development, specifically in serviced apartments and/or business travel
Comprehensive and current knowledge of the serviced apartment industry
Skills:
Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve results
Demonstrated excellence in customer service standards
Exceptional organisational skills
Fluent in Spanish & English (additional languages are a plus)
Confident in face-to-face client interactions
Good numeracy skills and commercial awareness
Strong negotiation and presentation skills
Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances
Strong networking capabilities
