What we’re looking for
We are looking for a senior researcher to lead a research and teaching institute in bioethics or medical ethics. This is a new project at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The director must have the broad vision to create the institute and influence the world through research and teaching in bioethics. The institute will be independent to conduct research in the field and will be housed in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. It will be a multi-disciplinary institute that may have partnerships with all health sciences degrees on campus (medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, psychology, dentistry, bioengineering, and biomedical sciences).
As R2-R3, you will have the backing of the support program for the stabilization of postdoctoral research personnel of the Department of Research of the Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya (ESTAB).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

● Senior lecturer or full professor position at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
● Possibility to teach bioethics in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
● Possibility of teaching on an official master's degree in palliative care or clinical research.
● Possibility to work with researchers from clinical, palliative care, and basic science research groups.
● Possibility of having doctoral students from health sciences bachelors and masters degrees.
