Big Data Team Lead - Datalake (ODS)

Mission and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Team Leader with extensive technical knowledge and management skills to lead technical projects in the Big Data domain. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Spark, Scala, AWS, and the entire Big Data ecosystem. Additionally, they should have strong management abilities to lead teams, resolve issues, and execute end-to-end data projects. The main tasks of this position will be the following:

1. Design and implement production big data environments using modern technologies.
2. Build, validate, and optimize large-scale, big data solutions in heterogeneous data environments.
3. Develop and manage ETLs in batch (Spark and Scala), and streaming (Apache Flink).
4. Lead technical Big Data projects, ensuring successful delivery of solutions.
5. Resolve technical issues for the team and provide expert guidance.
6. Implement the ODS data lake across various entities within the group.
7. Collaborate with other leaders and teams to align project objectives with company goals.

To be successful in the role you must have:

1. At least 6 years of experience working with big data - Spark is a must - Hadoop, Hive, and/or Kafka would be a plus.
2. Proficiency in Spark, Scala, and AWS.
3. Previous experience in leading technical teams.
4. Strong management skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
5. Experience in implementing end-to-end data solutions.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
7. Experience with different database structures, including SQL (Postgres, MySQL), and NOSQL (DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Redis, Elasticsearch).
8. Experience and expertise across data integration and data management with high data volumes.
9. Experience with Cloud ecosystems, AWS ecosystem (EMR, EC2, IAM, GLUE, ATHENA, S3, CloudFormation, LakeFormation, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, ECS & ECR) would be a great plus!
10. Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish is a must.

Nice to have:

1. Experience working in agile continuous integration/DevOps paradigm and tool set (Git, Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus, Jira, and Splunk).
2. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or other STEM-related fields, or equivalent work experience.
3. Experience with data warehousing, apache iceberg, and visualization tools.
4. Experience with NRT applications: Apache Flink, spark streaming.
