As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for submitting a completed bid to an existing or prospective client, on time and within budget. You will be the key link between the Worldline Sales leads and the business.

This is a very fast-paced environment to work in, so we are looking to hear from individuals who are able to manage their own and the bid team’s time effectively to ensure deadlines are met. You will have the confidence to deal with challenging situations in order to meet the tight bid response timelines.

In addition, you will be able to participate in the Sales Operations activity acting as a fast-paced role within an exciting and rapidly developing business. From delivering detailed reports and dashboards on our sales pipeline and other sales activities.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for a range of bids within the group that are often single service lines in accordance with company procedures.
  • The responsibility of the final production of the proposal in cooperation with delivery, legal, finance, and sales departments.
  • Taking bids through the Worldline governance process.
  • Lead, co-ordinate and manage resources required to respond to business opportunities to ensure that proposals and contracts are in line with Worldline strategy and capabilities and also meet the customers’ expectations and requirements.
  • The responsibility for the bid project plan and implementation, costs, P&Ls, processes, risk management & mitigation strategy, and all quality aspects concerning the bid preparation process.
  • Be comfortable with the monitoring of sales activities, creating and maintaining detailed management reports and dashboards using both Salesforce and Excel with analytics to demonstrate trends and forecasts.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Bid Management ideally in a Services Integration, Product, or Payments environment.
  • Good spoken and written skills.
  • Ability to manage communications and stakeholder engagement across various levels and roles across the business and with their clients.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills, using these skills to determine the time required to complete bids and develop realistic work plans.
  • Must be comfortable working at Management Level within the company.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, pressured environment.
  • Self-motivated with high energy, resilience, creativity, passion, and the hunger to learn, evolve, and develop.
  • The ability to understand and analyse market-related data.
  • Business and commercial comprehension, P&L, and risk management skills.
  • Adaptability to work flexible working patterns to ‘get the job done’.
  • Experience of using advanced Excel functions for reporting and deep-dive analysis and using Salesforce as a CRM in a Sales environment.

Valuable:

  • Goal-oriented individual, capable of working with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Experience in creating a bid community and functional teams.
  • Experience in setting up business cases.
  • Experience in relevant legal aspects (e.g. terms of conditions, penalty systems).
