About the role

At FLANKS, we are looking for a Banking Back / Middle Office Manager - EU Market to join our team! If you’re a motivated professional with a passion for financial services and an in-depth understanding of the German and/or UK market, this is your chance to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment. We’d love to meet you!

What you'll do:

  • Data Accuracy & Compliance – Oversee the verification of data entries, ensuring alignment with original documents and third-party sources to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Incident & Risk Management – Implement strategies to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in customer transactions and accounts, improving operational controls.
  • Process Optimization – Focus on enhancing processes related to asset management, data extraction, and reporting, ensuring greater efficiency and reduced errors.
  • Automation & Controls – Lead initiatives to streamline financial operations through automation and improved control mechanisms, ensuring smoother workflows.
  • Financial Operations Oversight – Supervise the exchange of financial transactions between clients and various banking entities, ensuring effective management and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Coordination – Serve as the liaison between clients, banks, external advisors (lawyers, accountants, financial consultants), and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and smooth operations.

What we'd love to see:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Finance, or a Higher Degree in Administration or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in administrative, audit, or accounting roles within the financial/banking sector.
  • Language Skills: English/German/French native. Spanish is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and methodical. Used to work in cross-functional tasks.
  • Results-Oriented: Strong focus on achieving results.
