ADM is seeking a visionary professional to lead the way in Regulatory Science for Health & Wellness, driving innovation and ensuring compliance in a dynamic and impactful field. This role can be based in Spain or Lausanne, Switzerland.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Drive Innovation: Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to support innovative projects in Health & Wellness, particularly focusing on biotics, while also contributing to legacy carbohydrate and oil initiatives.
• Shape Regulatory Science Strategies: Develop and deploy strategies for foods, supplements, biotics, and functional ingredients across global markets, ensuring ingredient safety, efficacy, claims, and labelling meet rigorous standards.
• Build Scientific Advocacy: Partner with Regulatory Affairs, Government Relations, and R&D to develop and execute scientific advocacy strategies, staying ahead of regulatory trends and identifying opportunities for ADM’s portfolio.
• Collaborate Across Functions: Provide strategic Scientific Affairs support to marketing communications, ensuring alignment and compliance across all business units and market segments.
• Support Growth Initiatives: Drive regulatory science positions internally and support due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures that expand ADM’s impact on global health and wellness.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Life Sciences with over 10 years of regulatory experience in food and supplements, including biotics.
• In-depth knowledge of EFSA’s novel foods process, EU, UK, and other global regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage the development of dossiers for global registrations.
• A solid understanding of fermentation processes to support product innovation and compliance.
• Exceptional skills in horizon scanning, competitive intelligence, and risk assessment to ensure ADM stays ahead in the health and wellness landscape.
