The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Applications Engineer to work as part of the Data Centre Applications Engineering team to be based from our site in Guadalajara, Spain. This is a newly created role and will support the significant growth and opportunities we see in the Data Centre market across Europe. The position will report to the Principal Applications Engineering Team Leader in the UK – but working closely with our Spanish Key Account manager based in and around Madrid.

About the role:

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Support the growth and development of the sales team through provision of quotes and delivery of order information for customer services and manufacturing.
• Work with the Key Account Manager to understand technical specifications and provide technical quotes/solutions from the Airedale product range.
• Deal with customer technical sales enquiries.
• Support the external sales team.
• Respond to any external sales enquiries.
• Provide details of orders to customer services and manufacturing.
• Liaise with third-party suppliers at the specification stage.

About you:

• Engineering knowledge to a minimum of degree in a technical subject or diploma in a technical subject – mechanical/electrical/refrigeration.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications – namely Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work with different groups within Airedale.
• Problem-solving skills to overcome challenging obstacles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use own initiative and prioritise tasks.
