Our blockchain team is dedicated to the conception, design and implementation of a best-in-class software platform providing our users with the ability to work seamlessly within this new and highly technical space. We are currently seeking new colleagues across a variety of roles who are passionate about bringing this world-changing technology into mainstream use via the development of high-quality tools and services aimed at the wider commercial market.

Previous blockchain experience, while desirable, is not required and so this is an excellent opportunity for anybody who has an interest in growing their skills and experience in this novel and fast-moving field.

Your mission

As an Analytics Manager for Block Co, you will be responsible for all insight and analysis into performance of the crypto platform, ensuring the Block Co leadership have a high-quality analytics service. You will manage a team of analysts and take responsibility for all of their deliverables, development and ensuring they have the structure around them to deliver at a high level. You will combine your domain knowledge and experience of analytical methods to ensure that our overall product and business strategies are firmly data driven and that our leadership have everything they need to operate and improve their offerings and processes.

You will be a key part of the Block Co team, responsible for driving insight into the performance of our crypto platform and products. Your analytics drives all of Block Co’s decision-making, informs product & feature strategies, and delivers detailed critiques of product feature performance. You will be a key member of this team, owning major deliverables and working directly with our senior leadership every day.

What you'll do

  1. Develop, coach and motivate a team of analysts, both individually and collectively
  2. Day to day line management of a small team of Analysts, including reviews, setting objectives and overall responsibility for quality of output
  3. Define best practices for the team to prioritise and distribute tasks to ensure timelines for projects are set and adhered to and business users have correct visibility
  4. Establish analytics processes to support the team in their analysis of business requests, ensuring clear development of conclusions and recommendations
  5. Understand the business value of any analytics piece and actively share with relevant stakeholders
  6. Proactively drive the direction of the team, identifying opportunities that the team can bring business value and putting action plans in place
  7. Be aware of key strategic decisions that impact the team
  8. Ensure data integrity by working with cross functional teams internally and externally while implementing and adhering to quality control processes and data management best practices
  9. Collaborate with seniors in order to improve reporting, analytics and overall data quality
  10. Work with senior business leaders and understand their needs and build out both regular business reports to track KPI’s or OKR’s as well as guiding insights for yourself and members of your team
  11. Assist in the continued development of analytics by defining requirements from various business units, helping to implement changes to our organization’s data structure through collaboration with the product and engineering teams

What you'll bring

  1. Business and technology hybrid profile, with priority given to business background and acumen
  2. Experienced in leading, organising and developing a team
  3. Ability to forward plan and think strategically
  4. Advanced knowledge of analytics and / or Data Warehousing concepts and methodologies, and experience using major analytics tool – SQL, Tableau & Python
  5. Experienced in business performance reporting / analysis and proven ability to deliver technical concepts to a non-technical audience in an engaging way
  6. Be a driven & curious learner, capable of identifying your own areas of self-development and leveraging available resources to grow your expertise
  7. Be a patient & capable teacher & leader, able to elevate team members to help them grow within the organisation
  8. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build positive, productive interpersonal relationships with stakeholders
  9. Ability to create and present executive level analysis and reports
  10. Degree in Business Technology, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or equivalent experience
