AI Architect

The new position will perform the role of Data Architect responsible for evolving and maintaining the company's enterprise data architecture and will contribute to the continuous evolution of business applications in close alignment with business key users and other IT operating units.

The company is onboarded in a digital transformation journey which implies the replacement of legacy applications and the implementation of a wide range of modern IT solutions, so he / she will be a key pillar in positioning Nippon Gases as a best-in–class, automated, data driven, collaborative and secure company.

We are looking for a curious and proactive person willing to improve efficiency and provide employees with consistent and reliable access to key data, supporting business initiatives to ensure the enterprise follows best practices for data standards and data management.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver architectures for modernization of enterprise data solutions using Azure DataBricks cloud data technologies.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud data strategy aligned with business / company goals.
• Analyze emerging technologies and influencing technology decisions and direction of project solutions.
• Design scalable data pipelines to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.
• Support business initiatives to ensure the enterprise follows best practices for data standards and data management. Ensure security and governance for the data. Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
• Design the systems required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and big data technologies.
• Collaborate with team members to fully understand business requirements and create clear functional specifications outlining the client requirements.
• Manage teams and vendors.

Job requirements

Education:

• Azure Data and Databricks Certifications are necessary.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field.

Experience:

• Data Analytic Architectures, with demonstrable experience / certification in Azure DataBricks environment.
• Strong experience in designing, architecting and implementing data models of operational or informational environments, with different approaches in terms of data strategies.
• Integration with native cloud solutions (ETLs, API Gateways).
• Relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Applied knowledge of data architectural patterns Batch processing, Streaming and Lambda architecture design.
• Industry data standards, data tooling capabilities, lake database templates, and data governance.
• Applied knowledge of preparing data for Data Science and Machine Learning purposes.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau…).
• Turning business use cases and requirements into technical solutions.
• Business processing mapping of data and analytics solutions.

Languages:

• Fluent, written and spoken Spanish.
• Fluent, written and spoken English.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills are necessary, as well as the ability to work effectively across the organization.
• Strong problem resolution, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to engage both IT staff and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
• Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations and policies of new business areas.
• Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to explain technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders.
• Experience creating documentation such as business cases or business requirements summaries.
• Proactive, adaptable and willing to learn new skills and to be onboarded in new IT solutions.
