Associate, Riverside European Partners (“REF”) Madrid

Riverside’s activities in Europe are concentrated around six offices: Brussels, London, Munich, Luxembourg, Stockholm and Madrid, with about 30 investment, origination and operating professionals. Riverside is investing from its seventh European vintage and has more than €13 billion of assets under management. Deal flow is strong across its target regions in Europe and its four industry specializations: Software & Technology, Consumer Products, Healthcare, and Sustainable Manufacturing & Distribution. Riverside is to hire an Associate, to work primarily with team members based in the Madrid office but should expect to gain meaningful exposure to deal work with colleagues in other Riverside offices throughout Europe.
Job Description
The Associate provides support on transaction execution and portfolio company oversight. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate should have between 3-4 years of relevant experience from international top-tier investment banking, transaction services, management consultancy or an investment firm and be fluent in Italian and English. Strong writing and modeling skills are required, along with an analytical and commercially driven mindset - the ability to understand market trends and their impact on a company’s strategy and business model. Good academics from a well-reputed university are also needed.
Additionally, the candidate should be a self-confident, balanced personality who can look at business cases from different perspectives and consider possible solutions in a wider context. They should be open to new ideas and market developments, and able to present well with portfolio companies and other stakeholders.
