Job description

As a new student developer, you will be part of a team that implements Sanctions Screening, making a difference by preventing bad actors like sanctioned individuals, states or organisations from using Danske Bank to gain access to financial markets in the Nordics.

We see you taking on the following responsibilities:

  • Writing code to integrate a vendor solution into Danske Bank’s API infrastructure.
  • Develop automated tests.
  • Test solutions you have developed.
  • Estimate work as part of the squad’s sprint planning.

We see you holding the following qualifications:

We expect you to study a master's degree focusing on IT development. We imagine that you are curious, dedicated, and willing to learn new skills and earn valuable experiences while contributing with your knowledge to the team.

Furthermore, you bring:

  • Understanding of object-oriented programming (we work in Java, but it is not a required skill).
  • Basic understanding of SQL for data access.
  • Basic understanding of Bash scripting and Linux.

As a bonus, any type of experience with Docker/Kubernetes, Maven, Spring Boot, Front-end (e.g. React), and Azure DevOps will get you off to an easier start with our technology stack, but it is not a requirement.

What we offer:

  • 15 hours per week, flexible planning, mostly working from the office.
  • An opportunity to become an integrated part of a small, dedicated team.
  • An opportunity to develop enterprise-grade solutions in a critical area.
  • An inspiring environment in a large IT organization.
  • Work in an international team, which concentrates on innovative business-facing solutions.

You will also enjoy a highly attractive benefits package that includes health and dental insurance among other perks. Additionally, you will benefit from flexible working hours to support a balanced integration of your professional, personal, and academic commitments.
