Student Assistant to the Controlling and Contracting Department within IT

The position
IT Finance at MAN Energy Solutions is looking for an analytical and business-oriented student with a good understanding of data treatment and IT systems to join our team in Copenhagen.

You will get the unique opportunity to develop your knowledge within finance and controlling along the way as you will learn about our processes and become an integrated part of our team. The student position also offers a lot of room for trying out new things within the field of reporting, BI tools, and process automation.

You will play an important role in:

• Supporting in Planning and Budget Processing for Group IT, e.g. price calculations for IT services
• Taking part in the preparation of Intercompany Charging to the International Group Companies twice a year
• Preparing internal charging of IT costs in Denmark and Germany
• Supporting with ad-hoc tasks

We imagine that you:

• Are currently studying within Finance or Business Administration with a minimum of 1.5 years left of your studies.
• Are an experienced user of Microsoft Excel (filters, pivot tables, lookup formulas, etc.).
• Possess strong analytical skills.
• Are an independent, motivated learner and a collaborative team player.
• Have strong English skills, both written and spoken.
• Preferably have already gained some professional experience within the area of Finance or similar during an internship or another student position.

The setup of your future team is as follows: A big part of the team sits in Augsburg with 4 full-time colleagues & 2 working students, and besides that you’ll have 1 colleague in Oberhausen and 3 colleagues in Copenhagen. The backgrounds are diverse as we, in addition to steering the controlling topics in IT, also tackle different topics in the team such as contracting and software license management. From an organizational point of view, the team sits under IT Governance, giving it a lot of exposure to different stakeholders within IT. The Head of IT reports to the CFO.
