We are searching for a Cloud engineer
For this role, we are looking for someone to join Nykredit – one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw, Poland and you will join our Cloud Engineering department. The team is in charge of developing our new API management platform as well as our cloud eventing platform to be used by our developers across delivery teams.
The cloud engineer role offers an opportunity to work with Azure cloud technology and enable our software developers by delivering new cloud platform capabilities. You will be contributing indirectly to business value by delivering platform and tech-related value to the more business-oriented value stream teams. At Nykredit, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Marie Sjølund Jensen.
Primary task and responsibilities include:
- Daily tasks include development of a robust API management platform on Azure to enable other development teams to create, deploy, and monitor their APIs efficiently, and well as development of the event-driven architecture and eventing platform to ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- You will be working with the whole team (cloud engineers, department architects,) as well as other stakeholders across Nykredit and external vendors.
- A few times a year we will gather in Denmark.
- We work in an agile set-up.
To succeed you will have:
- A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Experience with Cloud technologies.
- A degree in software engineering or several years of experience in software engineering.
- Appreciation for engaging in team discussions on work topics, including considerations about requirements, design, governance, compliance.
- Inquisitive by nature, not afraid to ask new questions or seek clarification.
- Able and willing to reach out to identified contact persons to achieve clarifications when needed.
It’s nice-to-have experience with:
- API Management platform(s).
- Event Management platform(s).
- Kafka and Event Driven Architecture in general.
- OAuth protocol and its various auth flows.
- Config-as-code, infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and/or Bicep.
