Production Support Analyst (Finance)

Role Description:

1. Primary responsibility of the candidate will be to provide L1/L2 technical support for specified applications used by finance technology covering:
2. Monitor critical components of the systems and troubleshoot as necessary based on runbooks and standard operating procedures.
3. Manage regular production start of business checks and periodic health checks of the applications and processes.
4. Collaborate closely with various stakeholders like business users, development staff, and infrastructure teams for any issues, query resolution, and user training.
5. Incident, problem, and capacity management as per the organization policies for the applications in scope.

Job Requirements:

1. University graduate in Information Technology.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in application support.
3. Should be able to work with a sense of urgency with multiple priorities, can organize and deliver with minimal supervision.
4. Should be able to work early and late shifts, on a rota basis. Additionally, the team is required to be on call over weekends, to carry out releases over weekends, and on bank holidays – all on a rota basis.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; willing to learn and able to adapt to different technologies.
6. Self-motivated, responsible, and reliable team player.
7. Good communication skills and ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.

Essential Technical Skills:

1. Experienced in banking/financial services supporting large applications.
2. Hands-on experience in Linux, any one RDBMS like Oracle/MSSQL.
3. Experience in production support including managing incident & problem management.
4. Experience in disaster recovery planning and test execution.

Skills:

1. Meaningful experience of Java server-side, Microservice, and system interface development.
2. Java 8/11.
3. Spring.
4. API development.
5. Messaging Services (MQ or JMS).
6. RDBMS Databases (MSSQL or Oracle).
7. Experience of Continuous Integration and Build Repositories.
8. Agile development methods & test-driven development.
