Medical Science Liaison / Affairs Manager - Gastro

Our client is a key player in the Pharmaceutical sector, looking for a Medical Specialist/Affairs Manager to join their dynamic Research team. This is a hybrid role within the Gastro department and presents a great opportunity for an MSL wanting to join a growing company that offers real career progression!

Key Responsibilities

• Development of partnerships with investigators, opinion leaders, and healthcare professionals.
• Provide scientific support to marketing teams and their programmes.
• Provide scientific information to relevant HCPs, speakers, and investigators on data as appropriate.
• Identify and track potential research opportunities; interact with healthcare decision-makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform, aligned with corporate goals and objectives.
• Communicate complex cutting-edge technical information and research concepts to healthcare decision-makers.
• Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision-makers.
• Identify and train members of the speaker’s bureau and ensure they are updated on new data.
• Act as a medical resource to the company as a whole, particularly to the Gastro research department.
• Assume overall management of the clinical trials within nominated therapeutic areas.
• Be recognized as a company expert in nominated therapeutic areas and provide input into global product development teams.
• Leverage relationships with external customers to ensure robust physician and patient insights drive successful product launches.
• Lead the development and delivery of the Brand Medical Plan(s) aligned to the therapeutic area (TA) Medical Strategy.
• Ensure that market insights inform all product development and franchise strategy deliverables.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Gastro or Rheumatology is required.
• Educated to MD/PhD level.
• Fluent in English and German is a MUST!
• Strong networking capabilities and integration with KOLs.
