What you will do:
- Load and unload materials in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines and customer commitments.
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders, including preparing necessary shipment documentation.
- Liaise with freight companies and inside/outside customers to determine shipping priorities and coordinate outgoing shipments.
- Receive all incoming shipments, verify product accuracy, and authorize receipt.
- Distribute products to the correct warehouse or yard area promptly.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety procedures within the warehouse.
- Provide backup support to the Sales team by offering product knowledge and information to customers or staff professionally.
- Deliver orders to customer facilities, construction sites, branches, or warehouses using the most effective or assigned itinerary.
- Obtain necessary shipping documentation and customer acknowledgment signatures upon delivery.
- Load items and orders into the truck while adhering to delivery schedules, safety standards, and destination-specific regulations.
- Secure and strap materials properly to prevent damage or breakage during transport.
- Extended periods working in heat and cold environments.
What you will bring:
- Previous warehouse experience required.
- General basic computer skills including Microsoft Office is required.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative.
- Able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift certified or ability to be certified.
- WHMIS and TDG certification would be an asset.
