Yard Associate

Reports to: Yard Supervisor

Position Summary

Job Duties:

Customer Service:

1. Greet customers promptly with a warm greeting and ensure first-class customer service at all times.

Loading and Unloading:

1. Assist contractors/customers with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Yard Maintenance:

1. Keep the yard, sheds, and special-order area in a clean and presentable appearance.
2. Verify returned products by checking customer return slips, ensuring product integrity, and accuracy of product count.
3. Support inventory control with accurate documentation and reporting of damaged products.

Financial Transactions:

1. Ensure all products leaving the yard have been invoiced and/or paid for.
2. Verify correctness and update product codes as necessary.

Assistance with Deliveries:

1. Accompany Delivery Truck Drivers and assist with deliveries such as drywall and building materials.

Stock Management:

1. Assist in putting away received products and monitor/replenish merchandise from overstock as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

1. Maintain a safe working environment by promptly informing management of any concerns.
2. Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.

Additional Duties:

1. Perform other duties as assigned by the Yard Supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
