As an Xradar Field Technician Trainee, Concrete Imaging (NDT), your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Operate GPR equipment with Xradar technology to perform concrete scanning surveys.
- Analyze and interpret scan data to identify and mark the location of embedded objects.
- Generate basic reports with clear visualizations of scan findings.
- Learn and apply basic engineering principles related to concrete structures and construction.
- Exposure to fieldwork – you’ll get to know our city intimately by visiting a wide range of construction projects.
- Preparation of job sites and equipment set up, as well as necessary clean-up and maintenance of tools.
- Completion of job summary reports for client review.
- Assist in site preparation, equipment setup and clean-up.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices.
On your resume, we will be looking for the following:
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in concrete scanning and NDT.
- A technical diploma or degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, construction technology) is an asset, but not required.
- Valid Class G Driver's License and clean driving abstract.
- Basic computer skills. Experience with AutoCAD and GPS is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
- Bilingual (French) is an asset, but not necessary.
