Job Location: Brantford-643 Park Road North Location

Program: Wraparound for Complex Needs

Job Type: Full time contract, February to the end of August 2025

Salary: Band 4, Step 1- $54,320 per annum, (Biweekly will be based off on this amount)

Number of Positions: 1

Position Summary:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to:

  1. Providing Intensive home, school and community based treatment intervention for children & youth and their families in Brantford, and Brant County (ages 0 – 18) identified with a dual diagnosis of mental health needs and a developmental diagnosis.
  2. Service collaboration in developing individualized goal-focused treatment plans.
  3. Provide consultation, support and training to families, schools and other agencies.
  4. Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the families. Shifts are generally 12pm-8pm; however, there is room for flexibility to best meet the needs of the families. This could include morning support and some weekend support.
  5. Participation in family sessions, group work.
  6. Implement client focused activities, responsive to the needs of clients.
  7. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job (written/verbal/implied).
  8. Participating/Facilitating as appropriate case conferences, staff meetings, team meetings, etc.
  9. Being accessible and accountable to the team members and to participate in regular supervision processes.
  10. Maintaining all records and reports as required by Centre’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. Must have Child & Youth Worker (CYW) diploma, or degree/diploma in related field.
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a related field and experience working with children/youth with complex needs.
  3. Experience working with families.
  4. A demonstrated ability to work from a strength-based, collaborative perspective with clients and families with complex needs, including developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, depression and self-harm, etc.
  5. Sound knowledge and/or experience in the mental health field and an ability to manage the emotional and behavioural needs of clients.
  6. Demonstrated confidence, self-direction and sound judgement.
  7. Strong ability to communicate concise, accurate information in verbal and written reporting.
  8. Participation in family sessions, group work, including evening and weekend hours.
  9. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of job (written/verbal/implied).
  10. NVCI and ASIST certification an asset.
  11. Current Police Check, including vulnerable screening.
  12. Knowledge of DBT, CBT and other treatment modalities are an asset.
  13. Valid First Aid and CPR (an asset).
  14. Strong organizational, problem solving and decision making skills.
  15. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  16. Ability to work flexible hours.
  17. Computer skills and knowledge of how to navigate different social media platforms.
  18. French as Second language is an asset.
  19. Valid driver’s license and daily use of a reliable vehicle with the ability to transport clients is a requirement.
