Workshop Labourer

As a Finishing Carpenter / Furniture Maker, you will play a vital role in our production process. You’ll be responsible for the final touches on our products, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and a polished finish. If you are passionate about woodworking and have an eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

Duties

1. Apply finishing techniques such as sanding, staining, and varnishing to wood components and furniture pieces.
2. Construct, assemble, and repair wood products, adhering to designs and specifications.
3. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
4. Utilize various tools and equipment, ensuring safety and precision in all tasks.
5. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
6. Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues that arise during the finishing process.

Experience

1. Proven experience in carpentry, woodworking, or furniture making.
2. Proficiency in finishing techniques, materials, and tools (spray guns, sanders, etc.).
3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
4. Ability to read custom and technical drawings and specifications.
5. Basic woodworking skills such as measuring, cutting, and assembling furniture.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
7. Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in a woodworking shop.
8. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
