NK’MIP CELLARS - WINERY ASSOCIATE

LOCATION: Osoyoos, BC
STATUS: Seasonal Hourly Contract (Mar – Oct)

COMPENSATION: $18.50-$20/hour plus % of team gratuity program

OPPORTUNITY:

As a Winery Associate at Nk’Mip Cellars, you play a pivotal role in creating memorable guest experiences. From warmly welcoming visitors to facilitating educational wine tastings, you contribute to a positive atmosphere and drive wine sales.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Welcome and engage guests with enthusiasm and kindness.
2. Conduct tastings, share our story, and promote wine sales and our wine club.
3. Perform tasting room duties, including processing sales, maintaining merchandise and wine levels.
4. Assist in achieving sales targets.
5. Conduct daily cleaning duties to ensure a pristine winery environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum age of 19 and possession of a Serving It Right certificate.
2. Team player willing to assist in all areas of business as needed (Tastings, Retail Sales, Restaurant).
3. Passion for people, wine, and hospitality.
4. Detail-oriented, multitasking ability, and a strong work ethic.
5. Courteous, friendly, and positive attitude.
6. Commitment to a healthy and safe environment for team members and guests.
7. Related training (WSET/ISG) and/or second language an asset, but not required.
8. Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
9. Able to work weekends throughout the season.
