DUTIES
The successful applicant will be required to perform apprentice level welding tasks in accordance with standard trade practices. Duties include:
Tasks may be performed at Memorial's various locations and campuses. Working from heights or in confined spaces may also be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates must have completed pre-apprenticeship (entry-level) training at a recognized institution towards Journey-person Certification in the respective trade. Candidates currently enrolled in the pre-apprenticeship training will also be considered. Candidates must be eligible to enter the apprenticeship program under the Department of Education (Industrial Training Section). Possession of a valid driver's license and driver's abstract, as issued by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, is required.
SALARY: $35,347 - $59,344 per annum (CUPE 1615) based on year of apprenticeship program. An upscale hiring step will apply to this position (Step 6).
