Web developer

The ServiceNow Developer will be part of an agile team, building out and/or supporting the implementation of custom applications, 3rd party integrations, and Automated Testing Framework (ATF) capabilities within ServiceNow. Successful candidates will be able to think critically in solving mission-critical issues, supporting end-to-end development of both front-end and back-end development including workflow and custom plug-ins. The candidate will need to ensure that development standards are adhered to and platform performance is kept stable.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Actively participate in agile daily scrums, updating stories daily in JIRA/ServiceNow, documenting development progress and collaborating across platform teams.
2. Conduct QA on Developer code. Ensure that all development adheres to SLF ServiceNow development standards.
3. Support in the development of use cases and testing procedures, ensuring product functionality, debugging, and testing is completed prior to production deployment.
4. Build automated testing in ServiceNow ATF.
5. Maintain existing ATF framework and ensure that ATF scripts are kept current.
6. Validate/Test API integrations.
7. Work with developers to design specific testing strategies for features being developed and automate them.
8. Analyze software and systems before customer use to ensure the product is defect-free. Validate functionality built by Developers and/or 3rd party vendors.
9. Support and participate in customer requirement workshops, working with product owner/stakeholders to configure/develop requested items and tasks.
10. Work with project teams to understand business/system requirements and solution designs and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
11. Develop applications (scoped and out of the box) working with ServiceNow Studio for NOW Mobile.
12. Design, create, and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc.
13. Design, create, and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs including advanced scripting of each (including CMS/Service Portal).
14. Create and maintain system design and operations documentation.

Requirements:

1. Good understanding of the ways in which ServiceNow can be configured and customized and scripting within the tool.
2. Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through API, SOAP, REST, and/or JSON web services.
3. Intermediate experience with development in ServiceNow platform.
