Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing web pages, web page content and developing web applications. The Web Application Developer plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional online customer experience.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing Websites: Oversee the maintenance, updates, and overall management of our websites to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
  2. Dealing with Security Issues and Vulnerabilities: Identify, address, and mitigate security risks to protect our web applications from potential threats.
  3. Legal Compliance: Ensure all web applications comply with relevant legal standards and regulations.
  4. System Administration: Perform system administration tasks, including server management, backups, and troubleshooting in Linux and Windows.
  5. Website Development: Develop, test, and deploy new web applications and features, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and functionality.
  6. Digital Copywriting: Create and edit engaging, SEO-friendly content for our web applications, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  7. Accessibility: Implement and maintain accessibility standards to ensure our web applications are usable by all individuals, including those with disabilities.

Qualifications

  1. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in web application development.
  2. Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of web security principles and best practices.
  3. System Admin Skills: Experience with server management and system administration.
  4. Legal Awareness: Familiarity with legal requirements related to web development and data protection.
  5. Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Also, must be self-motivated and able to work effectively both alone and as part of a team.
  7. Communication skills: Able to interact with teammates and customers to gather requirements and turn dreams into reality.
  8. Front End: Experience with Photoshop or Illustrator.
  9. Education and Experience: College or University Education in Computer Science, Business Applications Development, Data Analysis or equivalent work experience.

Location:
This position is based in London, Ontario, or within a reasonable commuting distance.
