Public Relations Specialist
Location: Toronto

Overview:
B’nai Brith Canada is seeking a driven, creative, and resourceful individual to join our team as a Public Relations Specialist. This dynamic role encompasses diverse PR and reputation management responsibilities, making it ideal for a candidate looking to build their career while making a tangible impact in the community.

The successful candidate will lead our public relations initiatives, support marketing efforts across departments, and contribute to the design and implementation of campaigns that enhance our organization’s public image and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute PR strategies to increase awareness of B’nai Brith Canada and manage its reputation.
  2. Leverage existing relationships with influencers, journalists, media outlets, and community partners to drive impactful PR strategies.
  3. Position messages optimally for various market segments.
  4. Plan and help manage events and other PR-related initiatives.
  5. Assist in the execution of PR campaigns across multiple platforms.
  6. Work closely with internal teams across Canada to promote the brand.
  7. Promote and support events through various channels, ensuring maximum engagement and participation.
  8. Assist in planning and organizing projects across Canada.

Qualifications

Education:

  1. Diploma or degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Experience:

  1. 3-5 years of experience in the field of public relations.

Skills and Competencies:

  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Strong creativity and innovation in developing unique and engaging strategies to enhance our brand.
  4. Basic proficiency with design tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
  5. Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  6. Event planning or project management experience is an asset.
