Reporting to the Superintendent - Water Treatment Plant, the Water Treatment Plant Labourer will assist Operators in the safe and efficient operation of equipment associated with the production of the municipal water supply. To be successful in this role, you are mechanically inclined, have the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment! This role is part of a 24/7 operation, requiring 12-hour shifts that alternate between days and nights.
Your key responsibilities
- Assisting in monitoring equipment and taking corrective action under the direction of Water Treatment Plant Operators.
- Properly batching, mixing, and handling chemicals in a safe manner.
- Performing routine cleaning, painting, and other general plant maintenance and grounds keeping duties.

Qualifications
- Successful completion of Grade 12 or high school equivalency.
- Attendance at a recognized post-secondary institution is strongly preferred.
- Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Additional certifications and training requirements provided on hire.
- An equivalent combination of management approved training and education may be considered.
