Our well-established Canadian manufacturing client is seeking a dynamic Logistics Manager to manage their overall logistical supply chain management. The role is responsible for organizing and monitoring the storage and distribution of goods across Alberta, initially with hopes of expanding the role to include Western and Eastern Canada locations. The position oversees the entire order cycle to ensure business optimization, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

The Role

1. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer service
2. Direct, optimize, and coordinate full order cycles
3. Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers
4. Keep track of quality, inventory, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency
5. Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes, and process shipments
6. Resolve any arising problems or complaints
7. Supervise, coach, and train warehouse workforce
8. Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
9. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements

The Ideal Candidate

1. 7-10+ years experience in Logistics, Inventory Control, or Supply Chain Management
2. 3 years multi-facility oversight
3. 3 years in oil field, telecommunications, large construction project experience, or similar
4. Data-driven decision making
5. Understanding of Lean principles and process improvement strategies is an asset
6. Post graduate diploma in supply chain, business administration, or management is an asset
7. Prior leadership experience in a Logistics and warehouse environment
8. Demonstrable ability to lead and manage warehouse and logistics staff
9. Proficient in standard logistics software
10. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
11. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
