Summary

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Warehouse Worker (Material Handler) performs warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.

Hourly Rate: $24 per hour

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Responsibilities

1. Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
2. Be responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading and unloading of trucks.
3. Must be able to deal with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
4. Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
5. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Due to federal regulations, candidates must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
2. Candidates must be able to provide a birth certificate and passport as identification.
3. Candidates must have a valid Ontario driver's license and be able to provide utility bills showing current address.
4. Candidates must be able to pass RCMP fingerprint background check.
5. Candidates must have a good command of the English language.

Other Requirements:

1. One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
2. Valid Forklift Operator's License certified preferred.
3. Experience with automated pick and pack systems.
4. Familiarization with automated warehouse management system is an asset (PKMS).
5. Experience with an RF scanner.
6. Experience with MS Office.
7. Able to lift and/or push/pull up to thirty-five (35) pounds.
8. Able to stand for long periods of time.
9. Be a team player and work within a diverse work environment.
10. Can work by using health and safety methods.
11. Punctuality and good attendance record.
12. Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
