The Warehouse Worker assists in all areas of the Thrift Store’s operation including: the efficient and effective reclamation, processing or distribution of warehouse goods; and provides quality customer service. They may also participate in the maintenance of an effective and attractive display of merchandise in order to maximize profitability of the store.
Hours:
37.5 per week
Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
WHMIS Certificate
First Aid Certificate
Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements:
A minimum of three (3) months prior related experience
Alternative combination of education and experience may be considered
Skills and Capabilities:
Respect and understanding of The Salvation Army – its mission, culture, and values
Provide an original copy of a Background Check with vulnerable sector screening that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion
Ability to work in compliance with fire safety, health & safety and emergency procedures
Willingness to be trained and follow direction
Attention to detail
Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality
Professional ethics and a balanced sense of fairness and flexibility
