Warehouse Team Leader

I am currently recruiting a Warehouse Team Leader for one of my clients, a manufacturing company in the field of electric transport located in Drummondville.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supplying assembly cells with parts to ensure smooth operations (deadlines, quantities & the right part at the right station);
• Manage production and storage scrap (waste, recycling, metal and wood);
• Ensure preventive maintenance of inter-plant feeder carts;
• Maintain and update warehouse merchandise location as required;
• Perform shipping and receiving functions;
• In collaboration with the warehouse clerk, handle goods using a forklift;
• Verify merchandise and quantities received according to delivery slips;
• Receive merchandise into the system;
• Maintain and manage the physical inventory;
• Participate in cycle counts;
• Prepare and ship parts for after-sales service (next-day shipments);
• Follow-up with purchasing department for warranty returns;
• Ensure proper housekeeping;
• Supervise and mentor warehouse clerks and ensure compliance with safe working practices.

Skills required:

• DES or other relevant degree
• Experience in a similar position
• Minimum 3 years experience in forklift driving
• Knowledge of ERP and inventory systems
• Good physical capacity (lift loads of 35-50 lbs)
• Demonstrate initiative, thoroughness and attention to detail
