Our continued growth and development has created a need for a Warehouse Supervisor in our Saskatoon production facility.
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall warehouse operation, which includes receiving, storing, moving, and shipping supplies, stock, and materials to and/or from the warehouse. This role manages the overall operation and ensures the safe and effective storage and distribution of customer goods on time and without damage. Additionally, the Warehouse Supervisor develops and implements both short-term and long-term warehouse planning.

Key Responsibilities:
People Management
- Organize all activities & assign jobs accordingly for staff.
- Setup and maintain layout & space management; work organization chart; procedures such as SOP, 6S, and WI.
- Manage stock control: the self-assured receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely delivery of goods; shipment loading & transferring; document recording and data entry into Syteline.
- Constantly plan out all warehouse resources and activities in relation to company objectives and set targets, including recruitment and hiring of employees.
- Ensure that workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.
- Maintain housekeeping of the warehouse and surrounding area.
- Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for efficient and effective warehouse administration.
- Evaluate warehouse employee performance. Maintain employee records, written warnings, reviews, and other related documents.
Safety Management
- Ensure all employees are following all safety procedures and protocols.
- Updating of Safe Operating Procedures for all warehouse mobile equipment as required.
- Ensure where necessary The Occupational Health and Safety Act, TDG, and WHMIS are adhered to.
Production
- Monitor work times performing Data Collection to ensure production timelines are kept within outlined schedules.
- Review production processes and procedures for improvements and increased productivity.
- Provide backup Supervisor duties to other Supervisors for vacation relief.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for any repairs or maintenance on machines.
- Ensure that all areas are clean, organized, and tidy in accordance with the Plant 5S goals.
- Ensure that all staff are cross-trained using the skills matrix so that production is not affected by attendance.
- Ensure inventory levels are accurate with Syteline as per the company cycle counting program.
- Prepare warehouse activity reports, including KPIs, daily/weekly operations reports, health and safety, and human resources.
Quality Control
Following company procedures, investigate any process-driven quality failures.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma and two years of equivalent work experience.
- College or university degree in business administration or in a discipline related to logistics or warehouse management, or pertinent industry experience is an asset.
- Must be proficient in operating a forklift, clamp device, pallet jack, overhead crane device, and maintain OSHA forklift certification.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a warehousing environment in a supervisory role.
- Intermediate level skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Mechanical aptitude – understanding of how mobile equipment operates.
- Experience with WCB regulations and risk assessments.
- Previous experience with ERP software (Syteline) is an asset.
- Trained or have equivalent experience with Bottleneck management, Flow/JIT, Standard works, QDIP, A3 problem solving and project platform, Lean, and 5S.
