Warehouse reception manager

Well-established company here in Montreal for over 50 years, operating in many industries such as oil, gas, energy, chemical, nuclear, naval, mining, etc. They are looking for a warehouse manager who will report to the plant's general manager.

Main responsibilities :

• Responsible for all aspects of material flow, controlling the accuracy of all merchandise inventories.
• Create material and supply chain management strategies for the plant.
• Coordinate, supervise and optimize receiving and warehousing procedures
• Monitor inventory levels, and ensure material availability in case of emergency
• Work with production to gather information on raw material consumption
• Supervise, evaluate and coach unionized employees due to the collective agreement.

Skills and qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in logistics or other relevant fields, specializing in materials management or supply chain management.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in total quality, Six Sigma, project management.
