Warehouse Manager

Become the newest member of the Hamilton Agritrade Distribution Centre team as a Warehouse Manager. You'll bring your strong work ethic, reliability, and previous warehousing/ distribution experience to this important role as you become one of the GC's (just to clarify that means Growth Champs) of the Agritrade Team. If you haven't yet worked at Warehouse Manager level but have experience as an Assistant Warehouse Manager/Supervisor and are keen to make the step up, then we'd also love to hear from you!

You'll get an opportunity to build great relationships and share some friendly banter with others on site.

NZ Agritrade Limited, a trading division of PGG Wrightson Ltd manufactures, sells and distributes key products including The Time Capsule, Vetmed, Active+, Valagro, plus has a wide range of other products; all aimed at improving farm and grower production management around agronomy, animal nutrition, land development and crop/orchard inputs. At 5700 sqm, our Hamilton Distribution Centre is critical to the success of our business, we need a great leader committed to growing better every day.

As a Warehouse Manager, you'll be responsible for the effective management of all functions within the distribution centre. You won't be afraid to suggest improvements and you'll help drive efficiencies while leading a team of 9 employees. You will need to be passionate about Health & Safety as it is at the forefront of all we do. Check out the PD for more details about the role.

As with every role, we do have a list of skills and experience that we need our newest team member to have, here is a few of the must-have from our list:

1. A full, current, and clean NZ drivers' licence
2. Current Forklift licence with F endorsement
3. Previous experience working in a warehouse/ distribution environment
4. Previous experience leading and managing teams
5. A good level of computer literacy skills and the ability to pick up new systems. (Experience using D365 software advantageous.)
6. Proven experience in stock control and inventory management
7. Exceptional attention to detail
8. Great communicator and a real team player
9. Good physical fitness as you will be required to help out on the floor from time to time
10. Most importantly you'll be positive, energetic, friendly, have a sense of humour and be an all-round good person!
