Overview: We are seeking a proficient Warehouse Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities, manage inventory, and ensure efficient logistics operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations and performance of the shipping warehouse team (shipping office, warehouse, and palletizing teams).
- Troubleshoot non-conformities and advise on matters regarding distribution and logistics.
- Oversee all logistics bookings out of the Plant and 3rd party cold storage warehouses.
- Oversee the scheduling and training of staff members for job development and safety.
- Oversee and assist in administrative tasks including shipping and receiving and livestock paperwork.
- Responsible for the Company’s Transport Canada Air Cargo clearance status (Air Cargo Security Coordinator).
- Prepares inventory uploads into the inventory system.
- Completes daily invoicing from processing plant and warehouse sites through scanning technology.
- Maintains inventory accuracy at the Plant and cold storage sites with biweekly/monthly inventory checks.
- Provides shipment documentation to end customers from the plant.
- Oversees the warehouse team personnel – responsible for division of duties, performance, and oversight to achieve company objectives and order fulfillment.
- Handles all western 3rd party warehouses – communication, inbound/outbound order entry, inventory management.
- Works with the Plant manager on warehouses labor costs and ensures they are as cost-effective as possible for company needs.
- Responsible for warehouse equipment and facility preventative maintenance scheduling.
- Works with production team to coordinate WIP schedules and re-working operations if needed.
- Ensure the warehouse team follows Plant HACCP plans and food safety protocols.
- Review daily production schedules and ensure warehousing allocations are followed.
- Reviews In/Out tracker and sets up loads that have reached capacity.
- Ensure the company uses the most efficient and cost-effective shipping options.
Qualifications:
Proven managerial experience, including demonstrated progressive responsibilities in warehouse management or a similar role. Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices. Proficiency in using logistics software and systems. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
