Job Purpose
The primary role of the associate is to process orders and oversee the cycle of order fulfilment. Responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the warehouse system efficiently and safely.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.
- Design and implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials and finished products, and reduction of warehouse clutter.
- Take steps to avoid quality control issues.
- Ensure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels.
- Manage the shipping staff in the warehouse with the Shipping Supervisor.
- Ensure the handling of material is done in the best optimal way possible to keep the integrity of material.
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
- Ensure that capital is maintained in good working conditions.
- Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations (Training provided).
- Work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Train operators for products and processes.
- Manage daily operations and support the team to achieve operational success.
- Assign work schedules and track performance of Warehouse team members.
- Ensure adherence to FIFO protocol and collaborate with shipping and inventory teams to minimize excess product storage.
- Obtain quotes for warehouse equipment from outside providers.
- Ensure that the warehouse staff completes their allocated tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Oversee all elements of warehouse operations to guarantee timely loadings and ensure effective communication of plans, targets, goals, and results to all warehouse workers.
- Ensure compliance with documentation and inspection protocols by the warehouse team.
- Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company Procedures.
- Approve vacation requests.
- Carry out incident, accident, and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
- Issue disciplinary action when needed.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Problem-solving skills.

- Ability to prioritize and understand quality management principles.
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze data and understand connections.
- Management ability.
- Experience in logistics management preferred; two-year degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred (experience may substitute for education).
- Great attention to detail with accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of freight and documentation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
