The Warehouse Lead is a role model to our team members – promoting health & safety practices and teamwork. The Warehouse Lead co-ordinates the day-to-day warehouse tasks while working alongside the Warehouse employees. The Warehouse Lead will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Successful co-ordination of day-to-day operations activities within the warehouse including the coordination of workflow schedules for the warehouse team
- Customer service support through quality checks of product prior to pickup & delivery
- Maintaining a safe & efficient warehouse environment at all times by providing direction to the warehouse team, pre-shift inspections, and health & safety regulation compliance
- Contribute to a highly motivated warehouse team by supporting employee performance, and providing leadership and constructive feedback
- Timely support for accurate and efficient warehouse administration through required documentation and support of regular inventory counts
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma
- Strong background in a warehouse or distribution center
- Prior supervisory experience in a Warehouse environment preferred
- Strong customer service orientation; works with a sense of urgency when dealing with customer (internal and external) requests
- Training in Health and Safety preferred
- The ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members
