The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.
What does a Warehouse Associate do?
- Safety-focused operation of powered equipment: lift trucks, power walkies, pump trucks, and order picking machine
- Work safely and efficiently while adhering to all company and health and safety policies and procedures
- Effectively load and unload trucks/trailers, placing stock in designated locations
- Conduct final inspection of goods leaving the building
- Maintain warehouse inventory data system
- Proactively maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, including exterior walkways and parking areas
- Communication with drivers for deliveries or pick ups, working as a team to complete tasks
- Take daily direction from Warehouse Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
What do you need?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Forklift and/or reach truck experience preferred - Raymond Reach Certification and experience considered an asset
- Commitment to accuracy and detail
- Experience with powered machinery
- Basic math, problem solving, and computer skills
