Warehouse Associate

Location: Calgary, AB

Wage: $17.00 / Hour

Shift 1: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm from Monday – Friday + Saturdays 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (as needed)

Shift 2: 10:30 am – 7:00 pm from Monday – Friday + Saturdays 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (as needed)

Position Summary

Our objective is to provide the highest level of service by ensuring all inventory is received and stored correctly, orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped out on a timely basis. Customer focus, quality, efficiency, respect, and safety are fundamental.

Essential Functions of this Role:

1. Responsible for receiving and counting all inbound shipments; unload and load materials onto or from shipping containers, pallets, racks, and shelves.
2. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments and inventory are accurate and free of damage.
3. Stock, move, and replenish materials to designated storage area or pick bins, while following our procedures, ensuring system RF traceability and safely using material moving equipment.
4. Prepare and arrange customer orders for efficient picking and packing.
5. Efficiently pick customer orders from picking bins for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is picked and correctly handled.
6. Accurately validate, pack, and ship orders, including pack lists, tags, and VAS requirements as required.
7. Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or trailers.
8. Resolve error resolution for any box or picked order that requires dealing.
9. Conduct and maintain warehouse health, inventory controls, and cycle counts.
10. Ensure warehouse safety, respect, and cleanliness are promoted.

Minimum Education, Experience and Skills Required:

1. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience.
2. Math, reading, and voice comprehension is a must.
3. Ability to operate a standup Forklift, and other material moving equipment; Forklift certified a plus.
4. Previous knowledge of RF equipment and onboard computers a plus.
5. Must be a quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain focus and adapt to a variety of challenges.
6. Attention to detail and ability to follow directions to meet deadlines.
7. Must be available during standard business hours.
8. Ability to remain flexible with working schedules, to include overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed is an essential requirement of the position.
9. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
10. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
11. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with all company safety policies and CCOHS and MSDS Standards.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to move around a large warehouse for 8 or more hours in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
2. Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Scheduling Requirements:

1. Must be available daily during hours of operation according to shift assignment.
2. Ability to remain flexible with working schedules, to include overtime and weekends as required is an essential requirement of the position.
3. As required, Saturday day shift.
