We are looking to hire a Warehouse Associate based out of our Calgary NE branch.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Match vendor packing slips with purchase orders and ensure all orders are received and communicated.
- Examine the shipment's contents and compare them with the packing slips and purchase orders to confirm the order. Verify that work tickets have accurate quantities and materials.
- Inspect incoming shipments and check for damaged or missing parts or materials. If goods are damaged, ensure non-conformance procedures are followed and communicated.
- Provide purchasers with complete information on any order discrepancies or damaged materials.
- Contact vendors on shipments that have discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Sort all shipments and put inventory items into proper bins in the parts inventory warehouse or prepare customer parts and materials for pickup.
- Maintain the organization of the shipping/receiving area and ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment.
- Work with the purchasers cooperatively to fulfill the needs of the parts/shipping-receiving departments.
- Work with the Lead Purchaser on physical receipt of all repairs and returns and communicate with applicable vendors.
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Must have strong experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Able to operate a forklift.
- Available to work 2 Saturdays a month to receive freight in the morning.
