VP Of Finance

Responsibilities

• Work with cross functional teams to support growth initiatives.
• Partner with business units and departments to drive financial performance and achieve growth targets. Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Support project teams with financial insights and analysis to enhance decision-making.
• Collaborate with the sales and operational teams to develop pricing strategies and optimize revenue models.
• Assist in developing and executing the financial strategy with leadership to support the overall business objectives.
• Manage working capital requirements and targets by establishing and maintaining clear internal key performance metrics and related procedures. Manage the company's cash flow, including monitoring cash balances and forecasting future cash needs.
• Collaborate with the CFO and the leadership team and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Continuous development of an efficient and effective system of management internal control, including the ERP systems, to safeguard assets.
• Oversee the management of the capital allocation by preparing, reviewing, and presenting business cases supported by both qualitative and quantitative factors.
• Establish an effective monitoring/feedback mechanism to provide confirmation/validation. Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, including analysis of financial performance and recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA required, MBA an asset.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role within the food industry.
• Hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves professional with a demonstrated track record of success in previous finance leadership roles.
• Ability to analyze complex business situations and summarize key issues, and make practical value-added recommendations within project scope.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and other departments.
