The Vice President of Marketing and Communications leads the development and execution of strategies to promote the company's brand and drive business growth. They oversee market research, campaign management, and team leadership to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts. Additionally, they collaborate with other departments to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives and optimize performance.

This is a hybrid role with requirements to be on site 3 days a week, providing a balance between remote flexibility and in-person collaboration.

About The Role:

  • Develop marketing strategies focused on cultivating key clients and maximizing the marketing functions impact across all Lines of Services to help Symcor achieve its revenue targets and growth goals. This includes long range planning, campaign planning and channel strategy.
  • Lead the advancement of Symcor’s marketing pillars of Brand Management, Growth Marketing and Product Marketing.
  • Create comprehensive marketing plans that align with the company’s goals to drive brand awareness, generate, capture and nurture leads.
  • Oversee the development of and execution of marketing campaigns and content required to drive traffic and generate leads.
  • Develop and deliver a consistent marketing message regarding Symcor’s products and their capabilities. Ensure it pulls through consistently from brand awareness efforts to sales enablement messaging.
  • Create and maintain a digital and social media strategy to ensure presence in the market.
  • Create and deliver an external corporate communications and public relations strategy, using external agencies where appropriate, to support the ongoing understanding of the brand and offering and manage Symcor’s reputation in the external markets.
  • Develop and deliver the Symcor strategy for events and sponsorships to support the growth strategy and ensure that the Symcor brand is appropriately represented externally.
  • Manage and oversee marketing’s budget across all Lines of Service, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet strategic objectives.
  • Institute a measurement program to monitor, track and calculate the ROI of marketing’s efforts to ensure continuous optimization of programs.
  • In line with Symcor’s core values, lead and monitor the work of employees and coach and develop employees to ensure the attainment of the team’s objectives and mandate.

What You Need to Succeed:

Education:

  • Professional development in either the fields of Marketing or Communications
  • Degree in Business, Marketing or other relevant disciplines

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience at a senior level involving analysis of organizations, development and implementation of B2B marketing strategies
  • Depth of knowledge in areas such as B2B communications, GTM strategies and ABM
  • Knowledge of all areas of the organization from role to mode of operations
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of the external markets
  • Deep and detailed knowledge of all communication venues, media and performance marketing

Skill requirements:

  • Proven success in driving cross-functional collaboration and results.
  • Expertise in marketing automation technologies and their application in engaging targeted audiences effectively.
  • Deep experience in collecting and analyzing digital marketing metrics, using data to inform decision-making and strategy refinement.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and adapt marketing content tailored to specific buyer personas, enhancing engagement and conversion.
  • Successful track record in account-based marketing (ABM) and lead generation tactics, including digital marketing and marketing automation.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to build compelling business cases and justify marketing initiatives.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Strategic thinker, problem solver, and communicator focused on building meaningful and impactful user experiences.
  • Fluent in the martech space. Understands where it is important to invest in capabilities and skillsets. Drives innovation in marketing approaches and processes to stay competitive.
